On December 22, CCTV’s “Morning News” program praised Yantai’s comprehensive data and business platform for towns and streets, reporting: “In accordance with the COVID-19 Health Service Plan for key groups released by the joint prevention and control mechanism of The State Council, Yantai, Shandong province, is building a big data platform covering the city’s 2 million elderly people to provide health protection for the elderly.”
Dai Pengwei, director of Chujia Subdistrict Office, said, “Before the launch of the platform, we used to conduct door-to-door surveys through grassroots grid workers to learn about the vaccination and basic diseases of the elderly at home. Relying on the town and street integrated business and data platform, and using the data interface of disease control, medical insurance, health and other departments provided by the Big Data Bureau of Yantai, we immediately mastered the vaccination status and basic diseases of 8,491 elderly people over 65 in the area.”
In accordance with the requirements of the national epidemic prevention and control policy, the elderly are divided into the red key groups requiring special attention, the yellow sub-key groups requiring corresponding attention and the green general groups, and the corresponding health services are provided according to the specific conditions of each elderly person.
“At present, Yantai has built a big data platform in all towns and streets of the city to push all kinds of national and provincial data to the grassroots. The grassroots can compare the basic data with the pushed data interface to establish the elderly archives, which can realize the full coverage of the city’s 2 million elderly over 65 years old health services. In the next step, we will use the platform to push more data to the grassroots and empower them with social governance.” Said Wang Xiaoguang, deputy director of Yantai Big Data Bureau.
