The application of RFID in the field of automatic sorting

The rapid development of e-commerce and logistics industry will put great pressure on the warehouse management of goods, which also means that an efficient and centralized goods sorting management is required. More and more centralized warehouses of logistics goods are no longer satisfied with traditional methods to complete heavy and complex sorting tasks. The introduction of ultra-high frequency RFID technology makes the sorting work change automated and informatized, allowing all goods to quickly find their own “homes”.

The main implementation method of the UHF RFID automatic sorting system is to attach electronic labels to the goods. By installing reader equipment and sensors at the sorting point, when the goods with electronic tags pass through the reader equipment, the sensor recognizes that there are goods. When you come over, you will notify the reader to start reading the card. The reader will read the label information on the goods and send it to the background. The background will control which sorting port the goods need to go to, so as to realize automatic sorting of goods and improve the accuracy and efficiency.

Before the sorting operation starts, the picking information must be processed first, and the picking data is formed according to the sorting list output by the order processing system, and the sorting machine is used to automatically sort the parcels to improve the sorting accuracy. The information about the goods and classification is input into the automatic control system through the information input device of the automatic classification machine.

The automatic sorting system uses the computer control center to automatically process the goods and classification information and form data instructions to transmit to the sorting machine. The sorter uses automatic identification devices such as ultra-high frequency radio frequency identification technology to automatically sort and pick the goods. When the goods are moved to the conveyor through the transplanting device, they are moved to the sorting system by the conveying system, and then discharged by the sorting gate according to the preset. The set sorting requirements push the express goods out of the sorting machine to complete the sorting operation.

The UHF RFID automatic sorting system can sort goods continuously and in large quantities. Due to the use of the assembly line automatic operation method used in mass production, the automatic sorting system is not limited by climate, time, human physical strength, etc., and can run continuously. A common automatic sorting system can achieve 7,000 to 10,000 per hour. Sorting For work, if manual labor is used, only about 150 pieces can be sorted per hour, and the sorting personnel cannot work continuously for 8 hours under this labor intensity. Also, the sorting error rate is extremely low. The sorting error rate of the automatic sorting system mainly depends on the accuracy of the input sorting information, which in turn depends on the input mechanism of the sorting information. If manual keyboard or voice recognition is used for input, the error rate is 3%. Above, if the electronic label is used, there will be no error. Therefore, the current main trend of automatic sorting systems is to use radio frequency identification
technology to identify goods.
